Among
the things that you really need to know if you are selling online is how
to include a banner on your website. If you are like me, you really, really
hate to ask because, well, you feel so stupid! Trust me, I know the feeling well!
Here is a link to an
article
at about.com that discusses putting images on your webpage.
However, if you want the condensed verision (but it really isn't that long),
this piece of code is what you use.
< img src=" URL to the image " width="width in pixels" height="height in pixels"
alt=" alternative description of the image ">
For example,
my logo that would link to Witty WAHM
would look like this -
< img src=" http://www.wittywahm.com/Images/wittywahmbutton2.gif "
width="125" height="125" alt="Witty WAHM - We want to help you succeed! " >
Then to link it to my site, the code would look like this -
< a href=" http://www.wittywahm.com ">< img src=" http://www.wittywahm.com/Images/wittywahmbutton2.gif " width="125" height="125" alt="Witty WAHM - We want to help you succeed! ">
Be sure to take out the extra spaces or it will not
work!
You do have to have your graphic loaded
somewhere on the internet - that is your "URL to the image" location. If you have your own website,
you can host it there. However, if you don't have your own website, you will need to have a free
photo host account such as one with Photo Bucket.
If you have more questions, please
don't hesitate to ask me. If I don't have the answers, I will try to find it for you. You can email me
at webmaster @ marasads.com.
